Tura: The Gryphon Mage

So I saw 's great pic of one of my characters and I thought it rather sad that I had yet to put up a picture of her.
So here she is; This is Tura, she is effectively my oldest character and the most developed.

You never forget that she is a predator, they way she moves, stands and speaks makes one feel they cannot let their guard down around her.
She has a very sharp wit and is not afraid to use it, because of this she can seem harsh more often than not. Underneath her cold mask however is a heart warm and wise, with a soft spot for children and an admiration for the bold.
She is a fierce warrior and a valuable ally

She began as a character in a story called "Gryphon's Quest" that I started writing when I was 12. Her best friend and traveling companion throughout the story was the Dire Wolf Kidge..whom I should also draw at some point...
She then went on to become a role play character in a live room called Dragon's Blood Forest.
Her history bloomed here; she was orphaned during an Arimaspian raid on her mountain clan and taken in by an old mage who taught her how to wield the spells he had mastered.
The site actually closed down one day, effectively destroying Dragon's Blood Forest, but not before Tura saved the threadmaster's character via a vastly complicated resurrection spell.
For a while Tura sat at the back of my mind, but she was far too developed to fade out of it completely.
I paired her up with a newer, human character in another RP. The concept is that a mage will have a mythical creature partner to aid them in battle, but Vilya (the girl) is no magic user, instead Tura handles the spells and so far they have made a wonderful team despite their vast personality differences.
The bands on her forelegs are patterned with the markings of Vilya's own tribe.
